Challenge 1 - Honey Badgers

Daphne stood before the contestants, a sweaty intern on her left and a box of commemorative barf bags on her right. She had the most unpleasant expression on her face-courtesy of the combined stench of the barf bags and the intern-and was trying to rush the elimination ceremony along as quickly as possible. The longer she stayed here, the more likely the stench would rub off on her.

"Contestants," she said, coughing a bit as she did so. "Contestants, considering this is your first challenge, I'd usually go easy on you... But you did so horribly that I don't think you really deserve it." Ahh the looks on their faces. Despite her discomfort, Daphne smirked. Now her 'cruel hostess' instincts were kicking in, and the smell didn't matter so much. She motioned towards the barf bags. "Only two of you seem to have put any real effort into the second half of the challenge! Your song was awful, you were dead last, and I swear to God I thought half of you wouldn't make it."4

"Lucky for you, I can only send one of you packing this time... And even luckier still, you guys get to choose who that one poor, unfortunate soul is!" She snapped, and the intern-whose name was Paul-held up one of the barf bags. "Here we have the all-important 'commemorative barf bag'-your stinking, rancid token of safety. It'll make you smell like a sewer, but at least you're still better off than your ex-teammate."

"Speaking of which, why don't we go over the highlights of the challenge," and again she smirked, pulling a remote from her purse and, with it, illuminating the recap screen that hung in front of the peanut gallery. "First up: Will," the screen showed Will, asleep on the plane while all the other contestants were out searching for medallions. "Who didn't even participate. That's not okay. Your entire team can't pull your weight for you-some of them can barely pull their own!..."

"Like, for example," the screen now showed Juliet, struggling to climb the ruins due to her footwear. "Your team captain. Seriously, Julie? Your lagging and lack of enthusiasm cost your team the challenge!" Just to add insult to injury, Daphne clicked a button and the screen showed Julie twisting her ankle. "I guess you could say that you were your team's Achilles heel~"

Laughing to herself, Daphne clicked yet again, and the screen showed Ruby being carried by Ai. "This, by the way, would've gotten you disqualified if you guys weren't already dead last." She clicked her tongue, shaking her head disapprovingly. "Gotta pull your own weight-that's the main problem with your team. I mean, I know Honey Badgers don't give a shit, but this is just taking it too far."

Finally, she turned off the screen and faced the contestants once again. "Now that I've had a chance to remind you of your weakest links and failures, why don't you all go ahead and vote~"

Daphne grinned, standing before the peanut gallery as they shuffled back in. Some looked nervous, others looked proud, and one in particular looked... sleepy. She clapped her hands and motioned towards the barf bags. "Now that the votes have been cast, let's read the ballots!" Yet another intern stood beside Daphne, holding out a clipboard for her. Daphne accepted the clipboard and, as the camera panned over to the contestants and she was no longer in-frame, pushed him behind the mound of decorations in the elimination area. All the while, she grinned and scanned the clipboard.

"Alright! Juliet, you're safe!" She snapped, and Paul the Intern threw a bag at Julie. "And you, too, Tiana" Paul tossed another bag at the ghetto queen.

Tiana caught her barf bag, and cringed as soon as it landed on her lap.

"Aw yeah!" she exclaimed, but also desperately wanted to shower off the germs all over her.

Well, obviously.

Julie cringed as she caught the bag, making sure not to get any of that on her clothes. Seriously, would it have killed them to get something less... completely off-putting?

"Erm... that's a relief," she tried to put on her best smile.

She carefully put away the bag, fighting the temptation to 'accidentally' drop it on some team member. Preferably, one who didn't participate. But what point would there be in that, since, if she went by her calculations, they'd be jumping off the plane anytime in the following minutes?

On another hand, she looked down at her feet. She really needed to do something about the shoes.

"Also safe are Wally and Ai" Paul tossed a few barf bags their way.

Ai simply watched as the barf bag glided through the air and landed in the empty spot next to him on the bench. Screeching out a sigh of relief or grabbing for it desperately was far too overdone- plus why would anyone ever want to catch a whiff of that funk?

Having the reflexes of a cactus, of course the barf bag hit Wally in the face before he could catch it. He flailed and fell over backwards off of the bench. He groaned and scrambled back up with a sheepish grin. "I'm okay..." The grin disappeared and was replaced with a look of horror as he realised he now hard barf residue on his face and clothes. "Yeah... Maybe not okay..."

Daphne grimaced at Wally's disgusting new look (oh, and the barf spattered all over it), then took a deep breath (not her best idea, considering the smell) and turned back to the rest of the peanut gallery. she flashed an evil smile and continued her speech, "And now it's down to the final two-Ruby and Will. Do either of you have anything to say for yourselves before one of you takes a long walk across a skinny plane?"

Ruby looked left and right at everybody around her. A look of thought across her face. Her cat was sat on her lap, by now, her cat was sort of a given to be nearby whenever she was on the aeroplane. Would the cat be dumped out too? At least HE'd land on his feet. If she grabbed him as they fell, would SHE land on her feet too? Now these thoughts were going through her head, she almost WANTED to find out. All this going through her head, she asked the most sensible question.

"Who's barf IS this?"

Daphne looked to Will, who was still snoozing, then grinned and snapped her fingers. "It's yours!" The final barf bag of the night flew across the room, heading directly for poor Ruby. It soared so majestically that Daphne couldn't help but stop speaking, and allow IT some camera time.

As the camera panned across the room, following the close up barf bag, it impacted ruby in the face in super slo-mo. She was thrust off her seat onto the floor, smiling.

She vomited from the floor, creating a fountain above her.

Yet again, Daphne was thoroughly disgusted. She made a mental note to have the interns hose down Ruby after the elimination... which only prompted her to rush MORE. She snapped her fingers, and pointed to Will. "WILL, you are the only one not to receive a barf bag tonight!~ Sorry, sweetie, but it's your time to go."

Will roused only slightly as the interns hefted him up, fitted him with a parachute (though Daphne complained this was a waste of time), and shoved him out. Daphne had been hoping for a 'good bye' speech... but through ALL OF THAT the man had continued to sleep, so she was disappointed.

Nevertheless, she turned to the camera, a huge grin on her face. "With Will now gone, will the Honey Badgers be able to at least give a shit? Will the Divas continue to shine like the stars they are? And, most importantly, will Ruby ever stop barfing?" the camera panned over to the poor girl for a split second, showing that she was still very, very ill. Then, Daphne grabbed the camera and turned it back on herself. "Find out next week on..."
